This beautiful bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Macroom town, the "Capital of Muskerry", and is situated on the main N22 Cork to Killarney route. We are situated within a 2 minute walk of all local amenities, i.e. Macroom town park, Macroom Golf Club, Macroom community leisure centre and the Macroom GAA football and hurling grounds to mention but a few. For the small and energetic child there is the beautiful playground to keep them amused.

Your stay at Twomey’s is made that bit extra special with the care and attention lavished by your host Maura. We are only a short drive from such beauty spots as the much loved "Gougane Barra" and its beautiful Church and lakeside area. Refreshments can be found at either "Cronin’s Bar" or the "Gougane Barra Hotel" whilst you while away and enjoy your trip.

Closer to town we have the "Gearagh", a very popular beauty spot coupled with the lovely walks along the River Sullane in the centre of town. We are also an ideal base when visiting the many beautiful West Cork towns and villages like "Bandon", "Bantry", "Skibbereen", "Blarney" and the breathtaking scenery of "Glengarriff". All of these locations are at hand while based on the N22 route to the world famous Killarney and the South West of Ireland. For the historian we are ideally situated for a visit to the numerous ambush sites of West Cork, "Kilmichael" and the well known "Beal na mBlath" of Michael Collins fame to name but two.

Refreshments are never far away and Macroom boasts top class hotels and bars to cater for everyone. The Castle Hotel on Main St. and the Riverside Park Hotel on the Killarney Rd. provide all day specials and bar food at very reasonable rates. If hotels are not your cup of tea then a visit to TP Cotter’s is a must where great food, friendly service and a warm atmosphere are to be found. For the music lover there is music, song and dance to be found in many of the local hostelries. Songs like " Mountmassey, The Flower of Macroom" and "The Banks of My Own Lovely Lee" can be heard from many a lively pub.

Our premises are very popular with the "Irish Cycling Tours" who return time and time again. Make your trip that bit special without any worries and enjoy your stay at "Twomey’s"
